About me

I am Drui Glück Schmid, 32 years old, born in the canton of Bern, Switzerland. My path to music was not a planned one - but an intense, self-chosen one.
What many call talent is for me the result of dedication, practice and a deep desire to express myself through sound. I taught myself everything, hour after hour, day after day - until curiosity turned into a tool that makes emotions audible.
It all began with a djembe I received at the age of six. From the very first beat, I was hooked. Not long after, the drum set found its way into my life.I spent years practicing, exploring different genres like rock, metal, funk, and even dubstep. Performing live and growing as a musician was thrilling — but over time, I felt a pull toward something new.
That’s when rap entered the picture. I loved writing lyrics, recording, and spending late nights in the studio with the boys. In 2020, I released my first rap album.Around the same time, a beautiful, UFO-shaped metal instrument called the handpan crossed my path — and from that moment on, everything changed.
The handpan is my instrument - but it is actually my mouthpiece. My music is not only created from technique, but from feeling. It is carried by the way I see life: clear, sensitive, raw, wild and beautiful at the same time.
When I play, I'm not interested in perfection, although that's what it is. It's about opening up a space - where listening becomes feeling. And that is exactly what touches: not the sounds themselves, but what they trigger.
In recent years, I have been able to share my music at festivals, yoga sessions and smaller concerts. But every time is new. Because I don't play for the stage - I play for people. And when my sounds touch the heart, that is the greatest gift for me.
My first single "Her Name is Hanna" was released in 2022.
In 2023, the album "First Steps" was released together with the artist Hoogshagenii.
My handpans are built in Switzerland by EchoSoundSculpture GmbH. Handcrafted with love and quality.
I believe that music is a language that doesn't need words - but contains a lot of truth. And I am grateful that I am allowed to speak it.
My Music starts, where my words end.
